BRENHAM ISD MOVING SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM TO BRENHAM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Brenham ISD is relocating its summer meal program.

Effective tomorrow (Wednesday) and until further notice, the program will be moving from Brenham Middle School to Brenham Elementary School.

Brenham ISD says the relocation is due to a pressing need to address facility damage from recent hail and heavy rainfall that impacted multiple campuses.  With additional storms forecasted in the area, the district says moving the program now allows necessary work to begin safely and without delay, while ensuring students continue receiving essential services.

The summer meal program remains free of charge for all children under the age of 18 in the community.  It runs through July 18th, though the campus will be closed on June 19th and July 4th

Breakfast is available from 7 to 8:15 a.m., and lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  All meals must be eaten on-site at the serving location, and cannot be taken off campus.

More details on the summer meal program can be found at https://brenhamisd.net.

Additional summer programs previously hosted at Brenham Middle School or Brenham Junior High School are also being temporarily relocated.  Families involved in those programs are being contacted directly by their program coordinators.

Brenham ISD says it is committed to a smooth transition and uninterrupted service and thanks the community for its support and flexibility.
