WASHINGTON COUNTY SHUTOUT BELLVILLE IN MINOR SOFTBALL ALL STARS VICTORY
The Washington County Minor Softball All-Stars shut out Bellville 7-0 on Thursday in Sealy, powered by a dominant no-hit performance from pitcher Kinsley Haferkamp.
Washington County set the tone early, scoring one run in the first inning, though Bellville escaped further damage by leaving the bases loaded. After a quiet second inning, Washington County’s offense broke through in the third, adding four more runs to take a commanding 5-0 lead.
With solid defense behind her, Haferkamp stayed in control throughout the game, keeping Bellville hitless and off the scoreboard. Two more runs in the fifth padded the lead, and despite Bellville getting two runners on in the sixth, Haferkamp capped her stellar outing with a final strikeout to seal the no-hitter and the win.
