MONTGOMERY WOMAN KILLED, FIVE OTHERS INJURED IN CRASH ON HIGHWAY 6
One person was killed and several were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon between Navasota and Hempstead.
The crash happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Highway 6 at County Road 330.
According to DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz, a 2021 Ford Explorer that was traveling southbound on Highway 6 crossed the center grassy median into the northbound lanes, where it struck a 2024 Volkswagen Taos.
The driver of the Explorer, 30-year-old Robin Conley of Montgomery, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two children in the vehicle, a 2-year-old girl and a 6-year-old girl, were transported to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston with suspected minor injuries.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a 50-year-old female, was taken to Memorial Hermann in Houston to be treated for suspected serious injuries. Two female passengers, ages 19 and 22, were taken to St. Joseph Health in Bryan with injuries believed to be minor.
