CHAPPELL HILL INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Chappell Hill community celebrated Independence Day today (Friday) with its 48th Annual Independence Day Parade.

Around 40 entries traveled through downtown Chappell Hill, as well as the World Famous Marching Kazoo Band.

Prize money was awarded to the top parade participants:

  • First Place ($300 sponsored by Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative) – Krolczyk, Malinowski, Felchak and Jozwiak Families
  • Second Place ($175 sponsored by Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative) – Gary Hellis
  • Third Place ($100 sponsored by Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative) – Luke Brown
  • Best Kids’ Entry ($100 sponsored by Kona Ice) – Texas Tots Tater Tots
  • Best Business Entry ($100 sponsored by Brenham National Bank) – Mike Hopkins Distributing
  • Best Classic Car Entry ($100 sponsored by Cruise Planners) – Bilski Water Well Service
