2025 ALL BRAZOS VALLEY BASEBALL TEAMS ANNOUNCED
Several local standouts have earned recognition for their stellar performances on the diamond this spring, as six area players were selected to the Eagle's All-Brazos Valley Baseball Teams.
First Team
A pair of Brenham juniors were honored with first team selections, Dalton Hart and Drake Bentke, both key contributors to the Cubs’ resurgent season.
Hart, a shortstop, was a sparkplug at the top of Brenham’s lineup. He batted .392 with 40 hits and 25 RBIs, while scoring 27 runs, stealing 13 bases, and drawing 13 walks. His all-around play helped guide the Cubs to a strong showing in District 17-5A.
Joining him is Bentke, an outfielder and designated hitter who batted .394 on the year. He racked up 37 hits, drove in 32 runs, scored 20 times, and was walked 13 times, earning a spot on the district’s first team alongside Hart.
Second Team
Second team selections included Dawson Keim, also of Brenham, and Eli Jaeger and Ryder Biggs of Burton.
Keim, a junior pitcher for the Cubs, was dominant on the mound in district play, going 6-0 in 17-5A. He finished the season 8-2 with a 1.53 ERA and 40 strikeouts across 63 innings.
Burton’s Jaeger, a sophomore, served as the ace for the Panthers. He posted a 7-4 record with a 1.23 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 56.2 innings, helping lead Burton to a deep playoff run to the state semifinals.
Biggs, also a sophomore, had a breakout year at third base. He hit an impressive .507, collecting 35 hits, 23 RBIs, and 20 runs scored, playing a crucial role in Burton’s journey to the state semifinals.
The honors reflect not only individual excellence but also the strong baseball culture in the Brazos Valley this season.
