BRENHAM NATIVE COURTLAND SUTTON SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH DENVER BRONCOS
The Denver Broncos have signed wide receiver Courtland Sutton to a four-year contract extension worth $92 million, securing him through the 2029-2030 season.
A Brenham native, Sutton made a name for himself with the Cubs before starring at SMU and eventually being selected in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft by Denver.
Now the Broncos’ top wideout, Sutton is coming off a standout 2024-2025 season in which he hauled in 81 receptions for 1,081 yards and 8 touchdowns, emerging as rookie quarterback Bo Nix’s go-to target. Known for his consistency and durability, Sutton has appeared in at least 15 games in every season except 2020, when a torn ACL limited him to just one game.
Across six fully healthy seasons, Sutton has totaled 376 catches for 5,274 yards and 32 touchdowns, averaging 879 yards and more than five scores per year.
The Broncos kick off their 2025 regular season on Sunday, September 7, against the Tennessee Titans. Kickoff is set for 3:05 p.m.
