Four esteemed graduates of Brenham ISD will soon be recognized at the district’s 150th anniversary celebration.

The Distinguished Alumni Celebration will take place on Friday, September 5th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Blinn College Student Center Banquet Room.

2025’s distinguished honorees are:

  • Dr. Bennie Graves (Class of 1986), Assistant Vice Chancellor for Grants, Resource Development, and Institutional Research and Effectiveness at Blinn College;
  • Dr. Lee Nordt (Class of 1974), Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Baylor University;
  • The late Dr. Robert Stark (Class of 1974), medical practitioner and Washington County medical director;
  • Donna Williams (Class of 1981), Brenham ISD instructor and coach and active community volunteer.

Brenham ISD says each of the individuals “has not only achieved professional success but has also made lasting contributions to their communities, embodying the values of service, integrity, and perseverance instilled right here in Brenham ISD classrooms.”

Superintendent Clay Gillentine says the stories of these four alumni “are a testament to the power of public education and the foundation built here in Brenham.”  He adds, “This celebration is not just about our past — it’s about the promise of what’s still to come.”

Tickets for the 150th Anniversary Celebration are $35 per person.  They can be purchased online at www.brenhamisd.net
