COLUMBUS LITTLE LEAGUE ALL-STARS CROWNED JUNIOR SOFTBALL WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS
The Columbus Little League All-Stars made history with a thrilling run through the 2025 Junior Softball World Series, capping off their journey with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Evergreen Park Girls Softball Little League from Illinois in the championship game.
After advancing to the World Series, the Columbus squad opened play with a strong 8-3 win over Bacolod City from the Philippines, showcasing their power at the plate and composure on defense. However, their momentum was briefly halted with a 4-7 loss to Repentigny, Quebec from Canada in their second game; their only setback in the double elimination tournament.
What followed was a remarkable comeback streak that defined the heart and grit of the Columbus team. They roared back with a 13-5 rout of Indiana, Pennsylvania, followed by an 8-2 victory over Foothill Little League of Palo Cedro, California. Columbus then overpowered Lombardia Little League from Milano, Italy, with an explosive 16-2 win.
Then in a high-stakes rematch, Columbus eliminated Indiana, Pennsylvania for the second time in the tournament, this time by a score of 6-3, earning them a spot in the final.
Facing a tough Evergreen Park team in the championship, Columbus leaned on dominant pitching and clutch defense to secure the 2-0 shutout win, clinching the title and cementing their legacy.
With resilience, teamwork, and relentless determination, the Columbus Little League All-Stars proudly brought the Junior Softball World Series championship home, a triumph their city won’t soon forget.
