WEEKEND ARRESTS FOR BRENHAM PD INCLUDE SEVERAL CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE CHARGES
Brenham police arrested three people between Friday and Sunday.
Around 8 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a crash in the 300 block of South Market Street. Police say their investigation determined that 34-year-old Christopher Rios of Brenham had caused the accident, and he was taken into custody for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.
At 8 a.m. Saturday, officers initiated a traffic stop near the 1800 block of Highway 290 West. The driver, 18-year-old Bradley Mowbray of Caldwell, was arrested and charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol, Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Close to 3 a.m. Sunday, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Highway 105. 21-year-old Hayden Torres of Brenham was placed into custody for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams; Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2/2-A, 4-400 Grams; and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. Torres also had three active felony warrants for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams; Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2/2-A, 4-400 Grams; and Manufacture/Delivery of Substance Penalty Group 1-A, Less Than 20 Units. Torres was taken to the Washington County Jail and booked in.
