THREE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Three people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court before Judge Carson Campbell.
34-year-old Freddie Martinez Jr. of Brenham, sentenced to 15 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony.
22-year-old Tandrick Deshun Ragston of Texarkana, sentenced to 6 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony. Ragston also had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 6 years in prison and fined $370 for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony. Additionally, he was convicted of Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, a Class A misdemeanor, in which he was given time served in the Washington County Jail for that charge.
26-year-old Madison Downey Goode of Brenham, sentenced to 2 years’ probation for Attempted Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams, a Class A misdemeanor. Goode was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
