DR. DONALD DRAEHN PASSES AWAY

A long time Brenham pediatrician has died. Dr. Donald Draehn passed away on Thursday at the age of 80.
Draehn had a practice that spanned over 50 years at the Brenham Clinic and the Midcoast Medical Center in Bellville.
He was a 1974 graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
In addition to his work as a doctor, Draehn was also a long time member of the Brenham School Board.
He was first elected in 1984, and served on the board until his retirement in 2015.
In addition to that, Draehn was very active in the community including being named “Man of the Year” by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce in 2018.
The public is invited to honor Dr. Draehn’s life on Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
