CUBETTES DROP DISTRICT OPENER TO LAKE CREEK IN FIVE SETS

The Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team lost a heartbreaker to Lake Creek last (Tuesday) night in their District 17-5A opener, 3-2.

Brenham won the first set 26-24. Lake Creek won the second set 25-18. Brenham won the third set 25-22. However, Lake Creek took the final two sets 25-23 and 15-11 to win the match.

Antyiahna Lang led the Cubette offense with 16 kills. Hannah Bush added 15 kills, and also had 11 digs on defense. Kori Levi chipped in with 10 kills.

Brinley Benson dished out 28 assists, and added 13 digs. Claire Huff finished with 16 assists.

Logan Hayslip led the defense with 17 digs.

Next up for the Cubettes (19-11, 0-1), they will host College Station on Friday at 6pm at the Brenham High School Gym.
