WASHINGTON CO. TO TAKE PART IN NATIONAL NIGHT OUT OCT. 7

Local and area first responders are making plans for this year’s installment of National Night Out.

Washington County’s observation of the event, which brings law enforcement officers, firefighters and paramedics together with the community, will take place on Tuesday, October 7th from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The theme for this year is “Sirens, Lights and Neon Nights”, highlighting the excitement of first responders in action while celebrating the vibrant spirit of local neighborhoods.

Block parties can now be registered with first responder agencies.  Parties must be registered by 5 p.m. on Friday, October 3rd to ensure they are on the list for attendance.

Anyone wanting to register a block party inside city limits can contact Brenham Police Sergeant Terrence Johnson at 979-337-7367.

Block parties outside of city limits can be registered with Washington County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Mark Whidden at 979-353-7705.

All registered party information will be shared with the Brenham Police and Fire Departments, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County EMS.

KWHI and KTEX-106 will also be making plans to travel to National Night Out block parties around the area.  If you would like us to make a stop at your block party, call our office at 979-836-3655.
