WASHINGTON CO. FAIR HOSTS CHAMPION DRIVE
The Washington County Fair’s 11th Annual Champion Drive was held this (Thursday) morning.
The special edition livestock show offers a fair experience for students with special needs.
Brenham and Burton ISD staff members, fair volunteers and local sponsors collaborate to host the program each year for dozens of students, allowing them to show rabbits, goats, barrows and bucket calves.
Belt buckles were presented to the showmanship winners and the outstanding volunteer buddies who assisted the participants with their projects.
Showmanship:
- Rabbit – Dalylan Rios
- Barrow – Jordan Murski
- Goat – Corbin Zehe
- Bucket Calf – Jairo Sanchez
Outstanding Buddies:
- Matthew Phillips
- Maggie Thibodeaux
- Kinleigh Guidry
- Bradley Nowicki
Graduating volunteer buddies will receive scholarships from the Champion Drive committee.
