DOWNTOWN BRENHAM WELCOMES IN SCARECROWS
The fall season is alive in downtown Brenham.
Scarecrows have popped up at various street corners and by local businesses for Main Street Brenham’s 22nd Annual Scarecrow Extravaganza.
The public can now vote for their favorites among the 24 entries registered this year. The winning scarecrows will receive a share of over $1,400 in cash prizes, with the Best Overall scarecrow winning $300 courtesy of Tres Chic Boutique.
The other eight prize categories include:
- Most Votes for $200, sponsored by Youthology;
- Judges Choice for $200, sponsored by KTEX/KWHI;
- Best Fall Theme for $125, sponsored by Bluebonnet Abstract and Title;
- Most Creative for $125, sponsored by Glamfetti;
- Most Educational for $125, sponsored by Christy Schlottmann Farmers Insurance;
- Silliest for $125, sponsored by Nine Seven Nine;
- Cutest for $125, sponsored by Jill Garrett Photography;
- Honorable Mention for $100, sponsored by Brenham Charcuterie Shop.
Ballots can be picked up at sponsoring locations. Voting runs through October 23rd, and winners will be announced on October 27th.
