HAROLD C. RIDDLE TO SEEK RE-ELECTION TO WASHINGTON CO. PRECINCT 4 J.P. OFFICE
Judge Harold C. “Buddy” Riddle has announced he will run for re-election to the office of Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace in the March 2025 Republican primary in Washington County.
Riddle was first elected in November 2022 and took office on January 1, 2023.
Riddle is a retired Houston police officer and Austin County Sheriff’s Office investigator with 45 years of experience as a Texas peace officer. He has also served as a senior pastor and staff pastor in three churches.
Riddle says he has worked to upgrade the technology of the Justice of the Peace office to help alleviate the workload and repetitive processes, bring updated technology to the sheriff’s and constable’s offices, and collectively improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Riddle says he has thoroughly enjoyed serving the people of Washington County. He believes that “justice should be tempered with mercy” and feels his experience in the justice system and as a pastor allow him to “serve the people of our county with fairness and empathy.”
Judge Riddle has been married to his wife, Maureen, for 41 years. They have two married children and six grandchildren.
