ONE IN CUSTODY AFTER STABBING OF JUVENILE IN BRENHAM
A Brenham man is in custody after a stabbing incident on Friday on the north side of town that resulted in serious injuries to a juvenile.
The Brenham Police Department, with assistance from the Blinn College Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Office, responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. to a reported stabbing in the 1900 block of Northview Circle Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a juvenile victim had sustained serious bodily injury as a result of the incident. Emergency personnel provided aid at the scene, and the victim was transported for further medical treatment.
Following a preliminary investigation, officers identified 40-year-old Steven Gray Jr. as the suspect. Gray was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked for Aggravated Assault of a Family Member with a Weapon.
Police say the case remains under investigation and that no further details are being released at this time.
