BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL HOSTING HOMECOMING PARADE WEDNESDAY
Brenham High School will continue homecoming activities tonight (Wednesday) at the annual homecoming parade through downtown Brenham.
The parade gets underway at 6 p.m. and has a theme of “Volume 150: Legacy – Then, Now, and Forever,” coinciding with Brenham ISD’s 150th anniversary.
Entries can represent past or present organizations, sports teams, traditions, events, activities, graduating classes, or anything that makes Brenham ISD special.
Parade floats will travel down Main Street, turn onto Austin Street, and then ride down Alamo Street.
KWHI will broadcast the parade live, beginning around 5:45 p.m., on AM 1280, FM 101.7 and kwhi.com. There will also be a livestream on the KWHI Facebook page.
The winners of a judging contest for the best parade entries will be announced during halftime of Friday’s homecoming football game between the Brenham Cubs and the Killeen Ellison Eagles. Awards will be given for Most Creative, Most Cub Spirit, Best Brenham ISD Organization, Best Non-Brenham ISD Organization, and Best Overall.
The homecoming royalty will also be crowned at halftime of Friday’s game. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Cub Stadium, with 6:30 p.m. pregame on KWHI.
