Downtown Brenham has announced the winners of their 22nd Annual Scarecrow Extravaganza.

The participants set up their scarecrow displays in the downtown area to show off their creativity, and compete for over $1,400 in cash prizes offered by local businesses.

Best Overall went to Christy Schlottman Farmers Insurance for “The Farmers Patch Community Grown.” The $300 cash prize was sponsored by the Tres Chic Boutique.

Most Votes went to the Hill Top at Brenham RV Resort for “Hill Top Harry.” The $200 cash prize was sponsored by Youthology.

Judges Choice went to Cindy Spallone for “Plague Doctor.” The $200 cash prize was sponsored by KTEX/KWHI.

Best Fall Theme went to Center Stage Dance Studio for “Molly & Dolly Game Day.” The $125 cash prize was sponsored by Bluebonnet Abstract and Title.

Most Creative went to Dream Bohemian for “The Owlchemist.” The $125 cash prize was sponsored by the Laundry Event Hall.

Most Educational went to St. Paul’s Christian Day School for “Coloring a Bright Future Ahead.” The $125 cash prize was sponsored by Christy Schlottmann Farmers Insurance.

The Silliest Award went to Healthy Smiles for “Flossy Brushwell.” The $125 cash prize was sponsored by Nine Seven Nine.

The Cutest Award went to Christ Lutheran Day School for “Little Blue Truck and Scarecrow go to the Farm.” The $125 cash prize was sponsored by Jill Garrett Photography.

Honorable Mention went to Ryan, Mary, and Lucy Lutkenhaus for “Bibbid-Bobbidi-Boo.” The $100 cash prize was sponsored by Brenham Charcuterie Shop.

Brenham Main Street congratulates the winners, and reminds participants that their scarecrows need to be picked up by this Sunday.
