OVER 4,000 EARLY VOTERS IN TOTAL; ELECTION DAY TUESDAY

  

Early voting has come to a close for the Texas Constitutional Amendment and Brenham ISD elections on Tuesday.

According to Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, 826 people voted early on Friday, including 769 Brenham ISD voters, both marking the highest single-day turnout throughout the two weeks of early voting. 

In total, 4,057 people voted early.  There are 25,674 registered voters in the county for this election cycle, meaning voter turnout came out to 15.8 percent.

Making up the full number of early voters was 3,742 who participated in the Brenham ISD election.  With 22,660 registered Brenham ISD voters, approximately 16.51 percent of voters cast early ballots. 

With early voting now wrapped up, anyone who still plans to vote will need to wait until Tuesday and visit their designated polling place, based on their voting precinct.

Six polling locations will be open on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Friedens Church of Washington, Washington County Expo Event Center, Brenham VFW Hall, Brenham American Legion Hall, Blinn College Student Center, Burton Community Center.
