BURTON BRIDGE MINISTRY TO HOST THANKSGIVING MEAL
The Burton Bridge Ministry returns with its Community Thanksgiving Meal that is open to neighbors with a traditional turkey dinner, home-baked desserts, and a chance to gather with friends both old and new.
The annual event is free to attend.
According to Executive Director Dr. Cynthia Carter-Horn, the meal lets guests take a moment to give thanks for this year’s blessings while sharing fellowship and community.
Entertainment will be provided by the Hilltop Ramblers, the musical/vocal ensemble from Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine.
Doors open on Sunday, November 23, at 4 p.m., and a Thanksgiving Meal (catered by Goebel Catering) will be served at 5 p.m. at the Burton American Legion.
The ministry sends their thanks to Citizens State Bank (Burton) for helping to underwrite the meal.
The Burton Bridge Ministry hosts the annual event in order to further its mission of building a bridge between racial, cultural, educational, and economic divisions within the community.
