11 PEOPLE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Eleven people plead guilty to felony offenses and were sentenced in the 21st and 335th Judicial District Courts.
47-year-old Jarvis Deshawn Burns of Brenham was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a second-degree felony charge of Indecency with a Child. He received an additional 15 years in prison for a second-degree felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, More than 4 Grams, but Less than 200 Grams.
25-year-old Jacob Lee Thomas of Brenham was sentenced to six years in prison for a second-degree felony charge of Assault Peace Officer/Judge. He also had his probation adjudicated on a previous charge of Assault Peace Officer/Judge, and was sentenced to six more years in prison. Thomas also was sentenced to 417 days in a State Jail facility for a charge of Attempting to Take a Weapon from an Officer.
37-year-old Allan Michael Gilmon of Brenham was sentenced to five years in prison on a first-degree felony charge of Burglary of a Habitation Intend Other Felony. He received an additional five-year prison term for a second-degree felony charge of Burglary of a Habitation Intend Other Felony
26-year-old Edward Wayne Daniels of Brenham had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to four years in prison for a third-degree felony charge of Deadly Conduct Discharge of a Firearm.
46-year-old Christi Michelle Radney of Texas City had her probation adjudicated and was sentenced to two years in a State Jail facility for a third-degree felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Greater Than 1 Gram, but less than 4 Grams. She received an additional sentence of two years in a State Jail Facility for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
19-year-old Jace Windale Powell of Old Washington was placed on eight years probation for a third-degree felony charge of Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Powell will also have to pay a $1,500 fine plus court costs, and a $50 Crime Stoppers fee. In addition to that, Powell must have no contact with the victim or co-defendant in the case, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, provide a DNA sample and urinalysis, and perform 150 hours of community service.
53-year-old Reagan Anthony Sandoval of Brenham was sentenced to six years probation for a for a second-degree felony charge of Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury. Sandoval will also have to pay a $1,500 fine, $1,500 in restitution, and a $50 Crime Stoppers fee. In addition to that, Sandoval will have to perform 150 hours of community service, have no contact with the victim in the case, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, and provide a DNA sample, and urinalysis.
18-year-old Ezekiel Randolph Scott of Brenham was placed on five years probation for a second-degree felony charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He will also have to pay a $500 fine, court costs, a court appointed attorney fee, and a $50 Crime Stoppers fee. Scott will also have to perform 240 hours of community serve, attend anger management classes, have no contact with the victims or address in the case, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, provide a DNA sample, and urinalysis.
21-year-old Jacob Isac Bennefield of Manor was placed on two years probation for a Class A Misdemeanor Charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 Less than a Gram. He will also have to pay court costs, a $500 fine, and a $50 fee. In addition to that, Bennefield will have to attend a drug offender education program, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, perform 100 hours of community service, provide a DNA Sample, and urinalysis.
54-year-old James Lee O’Neal of San Antonio was placed on two years probation for a Class A Misdemeanor charge of Deadly Conduct. He must also pay court costs, a $1,000 fine, and a $50 Crime Stoppers fee. In addition to that, O’Neal will have to undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, perform 40 hours of community service, provide a DNA sample, and urinalysis.
59-year-old Benny Dunn of Houston was sentenced to 90 days in the Washington County Jail for a State Jail Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 Less Than a Gram. He will also have to pay a $500 fine, court costs, and a $180 lab fee.
