IOLA VOLLEYBALL WINS 2A DIVISION II STATE TITLE
The Iola Lady Bulldog Volleyball returned to the top of the mountain by defeating Crawford in a three-set sweep to win the Class 2A Division II State Championship.
Iola won the sets 25-23, 25-16, and 25-12. This was a re-match of last year's title game that was won by Crawford 3-2.
Shaylee McKown led the offense with 17 kills, and she also had 7 digs. Cami Hoyle was second in kills with 10, and led the team in digs with 12.
Shelby McKown added eight kills, Rylee Goodney dished out 36 assists and had 7 digs, and Ava Bessette finished with 11 digs.
The Lady Bulldogs finish with a 48-5 record.
The UIL State Championship matches are being held at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.
