BRENHAM CHRISTMAS STROLL ARRIVES NEXT WEEKEND
Downtown Brenham’s annual holiday celebration is one week away.
The Christmas Stroll and Lighted Parade are set for next Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th, with shopping, live music, children’s activities and a parade through downtown all in store.
The fun kicks off on Friday with shopping at a variety of vendors. The Jingle Bell Market runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ant Street Inn, while the First Friday Farmer and Artisan Market is open from 3 to 6 p.m. on the courthouse square.
“Cold Nights, Holiday Tunes” returns to the Commerce Street parking lot, featuring the Nite Moves Band at 7 p.m. The concert is sponsored by Emerson and Nextlink Internet.
Saturday’s events begin with Breakfast with Santa at The Barnhill Center, where children can have breakfast sponsored by McDonald’s in Brenham and enjoy kid’s activities, face painting and pictures with Santa. Tickets are $15, and reservations are required in advance. Seats are still available for the 8:30 a.m. slot but are sold out for 10 a.m.
The Jingle Bell Market at the Ant Street Inn re-opens for another day of shopping from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
At 5 p.m., carolers and Girl Scouts will perform on the steps of the Brenham Heritage Museum, moving from the steps of the courthouse due to ongoing construction.
That will lead up to the beginning of the parade at 6 p.m. The parade has a theme of “A Very Vintage Christmas”. After the conclusion of the parade, children can visit with Santa in Alamo Alley.
A full schedule of events for the Christmas Stroll can be seen at https://jingle.cityofbrenham.org.
KWHI and KTEX-106 will be on hand to broadcast from Saturday evening’s festivities.
