LADY PANTHER BASKETBALL BEAT GRANGER FOR 12TH STRAIGHT WIN

It was another night and another victory for the Burton Lady Panther Basketball Team as they defeated the Granger Lady Lions 61-44.

With the win, Burton is now 12-0 to start the 2025-2026 season.

Val Hernandez (Burton ISD)

The Lady Panthers got off to a fast start, and led 22-9 after the first quarter. The second quarter was a little closer, but Burton still won it 17-13 to take a 39-22 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Lady Panthers also outscored Granger 12-7 in the third quarter.

The fourth quarter was the only one where Granger came out ahead, 15-10.

Mya Rodriguez led the way for Burton with 21 points, five rebounds, three assists, and five steals.

Next up, the Lady Panthers will be taking part in the Navasota Lady Rattler Shootout, which runs Thursday-Saturday.

On Thursday, they are going to play Wharton at 11:30am and Waller at 4pm.

On Friday, they will play Brenham at 1pm, and Wharton again at 5:30pm

Burton wraps up the Shootout on Saturday with a 9am game against LaPorte, and a noon game against Austin Crockett.
