SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR ASSAULT, INVALID LICENSE
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests on Thursday.
Approaching 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 8700 block of Highway 290 East. Upon arrival, the sheriff’s office stated that the subject involved had already left the location. After interviewing the victim, deputies later located a vehicle fitting the description belonging to the suspect. 52-year-old Joe Charles Johnson Jr. of Sealy was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Assault by Contact – Family Violence, Unlawful Restraint, and a parole warrant for Dangerous Drugs.
Around 5:45 p.m., Deputy Matthew Presswood was dispatched to the 100 block of West Main Street regarding a person with active warrants. 48-year-old Clifford Deshon Williams of Brenham was placed into custody for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced and taken to the Washington County Jail for booking.
