LADY PANTHER BASKETBALL DROPS TWO ON SATURDAY
The Burton Lady Panther Basketball Team dropped two games to a pair of 5A schools on Saturday, the final day of the Navasota Lady Rattler Shootout.
Burton lost to LaPorte 43-16 in the opener. Mya Rodriguez led the way with nine points.
Then, the Lady Panthers lost to Austin Crockett 44-41. Mya Rodriguez was the leading scorer again with 15 points, while Harper Hodde finished with 14 points and Val Rodriguez chipped in with eight points.
Burton finished the tournament with a 2-4 record. They are now 14-4 on the season.
The Lady Panthers will try to get back on the winning track tomorrow (Tuesday) as they host Hallettville at the Burton High School Gym at 6pm.
