CUBETTE BASKETBALL FALLS IN DISTRICT OPENER TO COLLEGE STATION

The Brenham Cubette Basketball Team dropped their District 17-5A opener last (Tuesday) night against the College Station Lady Cougars 45-38.

Abygale Adams led the Cubettes with 12 points. Antyiahna Lang had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

College Station jumped out to an early lead by winning the first quarter 14-9, and the second quarter 12-8, which gave them a 26-17 advantage going into the locker room at half time.

Brenham battled back and actually outscored the Lady Cougars 21-19 in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome the early deficit.

The loss drops the Cubettes to 15-4 overall, and 0-1 in district.

Brenham has a bye from district play on Friday night, but they elected to stay busy with a game against Bastrop at 7pm.
