FORMER BRENHAM ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON DR. TIMOTHY SPIRES PASSES AWAY
An orthopedic surgeon who formerly practiced in Brenham has passed away.

Dr. Timothy Davenport Spires Sr. of Monroe, Louisiana passed away on Monday at the age of 73.
Dr. Spires and his family moved to Brenham in 1987 after his time in the military, where he served as a chief of orthopedics. He practiced at The Brenham Clinic until 2001, when he moved to Northeast Louisiana to continue his orthopedic career and care for family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, their three children and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at Cox Funeral Home in Bastrop, Louisiana. The visitation will be tomorrow (Friday) from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a celebration of life on Saturday at 11 a.m.
