LADY PANTHER BASKETBALL GETS A 39-23 VICTORY OVER CALDWELL
The Burton Lady Panther Basketball Team picked up a 39-23 win over the Caldwell Lady Hornets on Friday night.
Both teams struggled to find their shot in the first quarter, but Burton did manage to come out with a 7-2 lead.
Caldwell came back to take the second quarter 11-7, which made it a one-point game 14-13 at halftime.
In the second half, it was all Lady Panthers as they won the third quarter 11-4, and then took the fourth quarter 14-6.
Mya Rodriguez and Val Hernandez led Burton with nine points each. Lexi Broesche added eight points, and Aerynn Huntsman finished with seven points.
Leilah Ellis and Harper Hodde also chipped in with three points each.
The Lady Panthers are off until Friday night, where they will open up district play at the Snook Lady Blue Jays beginning at 6:15pm.
