SHERIFF’S OFFICE BOOKS IN TWO ON CHARGES INCLUDING ASSAULT, RESISTING ARREST, WARRANTS

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported two weekend arrests, including one on charges of assault and resisting arrest and another on various warrants.

Just past 6:45 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a disturbance in the 3200 block of Bradley Lane.  Upon making the scene, the caller told deputies she had been assaulted during a disagreement concerning child supervision.  While trying to interview the suspect, the sheriff’s office stated that he resisted deputies’ commands.  21-year-old Dar Ruis Nesta Guajardo of Brenham was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member and Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.

Around 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Sergeant Adam Zavala initiated a traffic stop in the 2500 block of South Day Street for improper use of a turn signal.  The driver was found to have active warrants and was taken into custody.  36-year-old Nicholas Paul Demuth of Brenham was booked at the Washington County Jail for two counts of Driving While License Invalid, two counts of Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, two counts of Expired Registration and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram.
