SHARON STEPHENS NAMED BELLVILLE LIONS CLUB’S 2025 CITIZEN OF YEAR

Sharon Stephens was presented the award during the club’s annual Christmas Party on Thursday. Stephens serves as the director of the Boys & Girls Club of Austin County.
Stephens was described in her nomination letter as “the heartbeat of the Boys & Girls Club—guiding thousands of young people through programs that build character, inspire academic success, and provide a safe, supportive environment.”
The letter also cited Stephens’ contributions through her time at the Bellville Chamber of Commerce, supporting local businesses, civic engagement, and community development.
Additionally, the letter stated that Stephens is “one of Bellville’s most influential and impactful public servants” and that she “represents the very best of Bellville—commitment, leadership, integrity, and heart.”
