ONE WOUNDED IN CHRISTMAS EVENING SHOOTING IN BRENHAM

  

Brenham police are investigating after a shooting on the evening of Christmas that sent one person to the hospital.

Officers responded shortly after 8:30 p.m. Thursday to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of West Third Street.

At the scene, police located a victim who had sustained a gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to the hospital for medical attention.  The extent of the victim’s injuries is not known.

Detectives from the Brenham Police Criminal Investigation Division were contacted and are currently conducting an ongoing investigation. 

Police have not announced any arrests, and no further information was provided on the nature of the incident.  Police say more details will follow at a later time.
