TWO HOSPITALIZED AFTER WEEKEND CRASH IN BRENHAM

Two people were transported, including one by life-flight, after an accident Saturday evening in Brenham.

Brenham police say they responded around 6:15 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash in the 1400 block of Highway 290 West, near FM 389.

While police have not indicated how the accident occurred, they report that the driver of one of the vehicles was flown to an area hospital for injuries sustained.  The driver of the second vehicle was taken to a local hospital.

The family of the patient who was life-flighted, a 19-year-old male, told KWHI that he sustained a severe concussion and severe road rash on his back.  He was discharged on Monday from Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

The Texas Department of Public Safety’s Reconstruction Team was called in to assist with the investigation.

Police say no further details are available at this time.
