CUBETTE SOCCER SWEEPS COMPETITION AT BLUE BELL CLASSIC

The Brenham Cubette Soccer Team starts the season off with a 3-0 record after sweeping the competition with three straight shutouts at the Blue Bell Classic this past weekend.

The matches were held on Friday and Saturday at Cub Stadium.

Brenham opened the tournament Friday morning with a 2-0 win over the Alief Hastings Varsity. Kristin Velazquez Romero and Valentina Rodriguez scored the goals for the Cubettes.

In their second match of the day, the Cubettes defeated the Hastings JV 8-0 in a match that was stopped early in the second half due to the mercy-rule.

The tournament wrapped up on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Victoria East to win the Classic. The Cubettes' lone goal came from Hiromi Gonzalez.

Next up, Brenham (3-0) is scheduled to host Bellville on Friday at 7pm at Cub Stadium.
