BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. RESPONDS MONDAY TO ACCIDENT, DOWNED POWER LINES
The Brenham Fire Department was called out twice on Monday.
A few minutes after 10:30 a.m., units were dispatched to the 500 block of Gay Hill Street for a report of electric wires down. The fire department closed the roadway down with lines in the street and waited for the City of Brenham Electric Department to arrive before returning to service.
Around 7 p.m., firefighters responded to a transportation incident at Farmers Road and FM 389. They found a single-vehicle accident with minor damage and no one hurt. Once the vehicle was removed from the roadway, personnel cleared the call.
