KWHI TO HOST CANDIDATES FORUMS FOR CONTESTED PRIMARY RACES

  

As election season kicks into gear, KWHI is getting ready to host a pair of Candidates Forums for the contested races in the March primary elections in Washington County.

The forums are scheduled for Monday, February 9th and Wednesday, February 11th at 5:30 p.m. at Brenham National Bank.

The first forum on February 9th will feature the candidates for Washington County Judge, while the second forum on February 11th will host the candidates for Precinct 2 and 3 Commissioner and Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace.  Each candidate has confirmed their plans to attend. 

All candidates for Washington County offices are on the Republican ballot.

Running for Washington County Judge are Douglas Cone, Kirk Hanath and Brad Tegeler.

Candidates for Precinct 2 Commissioner are Jim Chisolm, William “Bubba” Herrin, Amanda Klehm and Mark Schonefeld.

Chad Dismukes and Gil Janner are vying for the Precinct 3 Commissioner’s seat.

For Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace, Holly Johnson faces Travis Semora.
