WASHINGTON CO. FAIR MANAGER DEAN FUCHS HONORED AS PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR, PLUS MARKETING AWARDS FOR FAIR ASSOCIATION

  

The Washington County Fair Association is in a statewide spotlight.

The fair received multiple recognitions this past weekend at the Texas Association of Fairs & Events’ annual conference in Fort Worth.

Fair Manager Dean Fuchs was named the 2026 Professional of the Year, an award that celebrates leaders who strengthen their local fairs and communities through effective management and leadership, and contribute to the success of the fairs and events industry in Texas.

The fair says it is proud to celebrate Fuchs’ well-deserved honor, adding, “His passion, energy, and dedication continue to elevate our fair and inspire everyone around him.”

The fair also earned several awards at the Ray Cammack Shows Awards of Excellence for Marketing and Communications.  Honors included first place awards for Best Newspaper Insert or Supplement, Best Photo, Best Scholarship Program, Best Community Program and Best New Program.

The awards highlight the fair’s commitment to education, community involvement and innovative programming.
