LEE CO. AUTHORITIES CLEAR SCENE AFTER SUSPECTED EXPLOSIVE DEVICES FOUND IN DIME BOX
Update: Emergency officials have cleared the scene in Dime Box, where suspected explosive devices were located.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media notice on Wednesday that it was working with the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office at the intersection of Bowers Street and County Road 425.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office later said the Austin Bomb Squad has collected the items in question, and that there is no threat to the public.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the matter.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media notice at 1 p.m. that it is working with the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office at the intersection of Bowers Street and County Road 425.
Sheriff Garrett Durrenberger is asking the public to avoid the area while officials secure the scene.
The sheriff’s office says it will provide updates in the event that resident evacuations are necessary.
