BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS LITERACY FRAMEWORK
The Brenham School Board will meet on Tuesday to receive a presentation on Brenham ISD’s literacy framework.
The framework, created through the work of a districtwide literacy committee, is the product of literacy research, examination of classroom practices and collaborative professional learning. It acts as a guide for educators in strengthening literacy instruction and supporting students across the district.
In action items, trustees will take up possible approval of additional purchasing co-ops, hold a public hearing before voting on the purchase of library books, and consider a donation from Center Church. There will also be a financial update.
At the end of the meeting, the board will go into executive session to evaluate the superintendent, perform a board of trustees self-evaluation, and review the superintendent’s contract, compensation and benefits.
The board will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. in rooms 111 and 113 at Brenham High School. The meeting will be livestreamed on Brenham ISD’s YouTube channel.
