WASHINGTON CO. DISTRICT COURT MOVES JURY SERVICE FROM MONDAY TO TUESDAY DUE TO WEATHER
Due to inclement weather expected to impact Washington County this weekend and into Monday, jury service before Judge Carson Campbell on Monday has been rescheduled to Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Jurors are asked to follow their jury card for location information.
The District Courts of Washington County thank all prospective jurors for their willingness to serve and for their patience, particularly as ongoing construction at the courthouse results in modified access points and limited parking.
The Courts say they are committed to ensuring that all jury proceedings move forward as scheduled and with as little disruption as possible. While construction activity is occurring at the courthouse, the Courts say the projects are not related to them or to court operations, and court proceedings will continue as required by law.
All jurors should enter the courthouse through the west entrance on South Park Street, which includes an overhead covering for weather protection. Jurors are asked to refer to their jury cards for instructions on where to go and what to do once inside the courthouse.
Parking availability may be limited due to ongoing construction, so jurors are encouraged to allow additional time for arrival. Public parking can be found on East Commerce Street and East Vulcan Street.
Any jurors with questions, excuses or exemption requests are asked to contact the District Clerk’s Office at 979-277-6231. For recorded updates regarding jury service, they can call 979-277-6233, the number listed on their jury card.
