DR. APRIL KINKEAD NAMED BLINN COLLEGE’S VICE CHANCELLOR FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
Blinn College has introduced a new Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

Dr. April Kinkead began serving in the role on January 6th, following the retirement of Dr. Marcelo Bussiki.
Dr. Kinkead has been in the position of Dean of Humanities since September 2022. Before that, she was a faculty member in Blinn’s Division of Humanities.
Prior to coming to Blinn in August 2014, Dr. Kinkead served as a lecturer at Texas A&M University and as an adjunct faculty member at Tarrant County College and the University of Texas at Arlington.
Dr. Bussiki retired from Blinn after first joining the College in 2001 as a music instructor. He had held the vice chancellor’s position since January 2019.
