CRIMESTOPPERS TIP LEADS TO FUGITIVE ARREST IN WALLER COUNTY
A wanted fugitive found herself behind bars on Monday in Waller County after a Crimestoppers tip led local law enforcement to her whereabouts.
According to the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, a tip came in from Harris County Crimestoppers that Maritza Gomez-Eufracio was at a location in Waller.
Gomez-Eufracio was a fugitive that was wanted on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
The Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit made the location, and took her into custody without incident.
Gomez-Eufracio was transported to the Waller County Jail in Hempstead for booking.
The Warrant Unit was assisted by the Waller County K-9 and Drone Units, as well as the Prairie View Police Department.
Sheriff Troy Guidry said that this arrest highlights the importance of strong partnerships with neighboring agencies and the public.
