WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO VOTE ON CONTRACTS, GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR EMERGENCY GENERATORS
Washington County Commissioners will take the next steps on Tuesday in securing emergency generators.
Commissioners will act on submitting Hazard Mitigation Grant Program applications through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for generators at the Expo Event Center and Expo Office Annex, as well as at EMS Station #3 in Burton. They will then potentially award contracts for the generator projects to Moeller Electric, LLC.
The contract totals add up to $603,650. The county will pay a 10 percent local match of $60,365, with the remaining 90 percent slated to be reimbursed through the FEMA grant program.
In other business, commissioners will potentially accept a bid for reinforced concrete box culverts for Engineering and Development Services. They will also hear quarterly reports from the Expo and the EMS Department.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
