BLINN BOARD CALLS EXECUTIVE SESSION ON THURSDAY

The Blinn Board of Trustees is set to gather for a special executive session tomorrow (Thursday).

Little information is provided on what the subject matter will be, other than “consultation with the College District’s attorneys regarding all subjects or matters authorized by law under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas”.

The meeting follows reports last week from KBTX-TV in Bryan regarding the resignation of former Vice Chancellor for Human Resources Marie Kirby in November.

KBTX reported that, according to the College’s former general counsel, the College was aware at the time of Kirby’s promotion to vice chancellor that she had pleaded no contest in the 1990s to a felony in connection to a child sexual assault case.

The board meeting will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. in the third-floor board room of the Brenham Campus Administration Building.
