WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS ADOPT BURN BAN EFFECTIVE AT NOON FRIDAY
Washington County has adopted a burn ban.
County commissioners voted at a special meeting this (Friday) morning to enact an order restricting outdoor burning, effective today at noon.
County Judge John Durrenberger said the decision to implement a burn ban came after a poll of the county’s volunteer fire chiefs. Durrenberger said nine of the ten chiefs were in favor of the burn ban.
Washington County joins Austin, Burleson, Fayette and Lee counties in the region on the active burn ban list.
