CUB BASKETBALL OPENS BI-DISTRICT ROUND WITH A 61-47 OVER WEST FORK

The Brenham Cub Basketball Team opened the 2026 UIL Playoffs last (Tuesday) night with a 61-47 Bi-District victory over New Caney West Fork at Tomball Memorial High School.
Brenham never trailed in the game, and they used a pressure defense to force the Gators to take low percentage shots all night.
The Cubs led the game at halftime 34-20, while both teams played to a 27-27 tie in the second half.
Jayden Hebert was the leading scorer for Brenham with 20 points. Meanwhile, Roderick Martin added 16 points, and Quincy Adams finished with 13 points.
With the win, the Cubs are now 23-11 on the season. They have also won nine out of their last ten games.
Next up, Brenham will be facing Iowa Colony in the Area Round of the playoffs. The game has been scheduled for Friday night at 7pm at Katy Paetow High School.
