CONROE MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, UNLAWFUL CARRYING
A report of speeding in a school zone resulted in the arrest of a Conroe man by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday for marijuana and unlawful weapon possession.
At 8 a.m., Sergeant Adam Zavala conducted a traffic stop at Highway 36 North and Blue Bell Road for speeding in an active school zone.
Upon making contact, the sheriff’s office detected an odor of marijuana and performed a search of the vehicle, which the sheriff’s office says resulted in the discovery of marijuana, a firearm and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, 61-year-old Glenn Edward Craft Jr., was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. Craft has been charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
