VETERINARY HOSPITAL, BRENHAM FAMILY PARK TOP FEBRUARY BUILDING PERMITS
New construction for a veterinary hospital and the City of Brenham’s long-awaited Brenham Family Park led the month of February for building permits issued by the city.

The largest of the 25 permits granted last month by the city was a $5,841,465 permit issued for the construction of Brenham Veterinary Hospital and Boarding Facility at 1201 West Blue Bell Road. Work is contracted to J.A. Greene Construction Services.
The second-largest permit was for civil construction for the Brenham Family Park, 3110 South Chappell Hill Street, valued at $4,136,965. The contractor for the project is MBC Management.
Another notable permit in February went to Christians Development Company for $650,000, issued for civil site development for the new VIEW Brenham eye clinic and office building at 1207 Prairie Lea Street.
Seven new homes were permitted in February worth $1,366,775. Through the first two months of the year, 26 home permits have been issued for $5,165,494.
In total, the city granted 25 permits in February for $12,497,694, exceeding the $2,788,890 on 26 permits from February 2025.
So far this year, the city has issued 72 permits for $17,462,688. In comparison, 52 permits were taken out through February 2025 for $10,244,066.
