BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR EVASION, DWI, ASSAULT

  

Brenham police reported four arrests over the weekend on charges including evasion, intoxication and assault. 

Kelbresha Xanae Moore

Just past 6:30 p.m. Friday, Officer Navone Gurley, along with Officer Gabriel Duran and Corporal Grayson Marburger, responded to a welfare concern in the 400 block of West Stone Street.  22-year-old Kelbresha Xanae Moore of Brenham was taken into custody for Evading Arrest/Detention and an active warrant out of Brazos County for Surety Surrender - Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.

Nearing 7:30 p.m., Officer Rosa Salinas and Corporal Grayson Marburger responded to the 1500 block of West Main Street in reference to a warrant service for a subject identified as 42-year-old Angelia Gamboa of Brenham.  Gamboa was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked in for Violation of a Bond/Protective Order Two Times Within 12 Months.

Around 11:15 a.m. Saturday, K-9 Sergeant Jimmy Ha, Officer LeDarion Jenkins and Officer Darrell Nunn Jr. responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to an assault.  According to police, their investigation revealed that an individual had assaulted an employee and was in possession of narcotics.  39-year-old Richard Butterworth of Holiday Lakes was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. Sunday, dispatch advised that a reckless driver was in the area of Highway 290 West and Highway 36 South.  Officer Duran located the vehicle, and a short pursuit occurred with the suspect.  The vehicle stopped in the 200 block of Highway 290 East.  Police say their investigation found the driver to be intoxicated.  48-year-old Timothy Ray of Round Rock was placed into custody for Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle, Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container and two Capias Pro Fine warrants out of Washington County for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign and No Driver’s License.  Ray was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked without incident.
